Make Sure:

• NEVER enter the “Red Zone” (the danger zone) of working mobile plant without the permission of the operator. ‘Red zone’ being 30m for large plant, 5m for pavers and 10m for rollers.

• Acknowledgment MUST be given and received before entering the working area of mobile plant. (Visual and/or verbal).

• Watch the operator when moving into the working area. Make and maintain eye contact. It’s your life – protect it.

• If visual or verbal communication is lost the operator stops the plant movement until communication is re-established.

• Never EVER position yourself between mobile plant and any other solid object.

• Never use mobile phones whilst operating mobile plant.

• Never be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while operating mobile plant.
